For Little cash a nice looking chess game. The "3D" option makes it a top appearance game for me! Im not a pro player, but I do have eyes, and they like what they are seeing !! No gimmicks with a classy look. Thanks

As a casual player of average ability, this App has encouraged me to play far more often than I have in the past. I can beat it about 40% of the time which is great for morale and makes me want to improve. I suspect club players wont find this program strong enough, but then Im guessing its not aimed at them. I love the simple, clean interface which is easy on the eye, and with the latest update permitting rating setting and playing rated games, this is a great travel or down-time companion. Excellent value. Update suggestions? 1. Book opening library with sample games to illustrate, and maybe the same for end games; 2. Interactive chess problems e.g. Mate in three etc; 3. End-game setups with guidance on finishing.

I love this app! I can never find anyone that I can play full out with. I play whenever Im in a waiting for someone or cant sleep.

Decided to try and play chess. Now Im hooked.

Too long since I was a good player, but its fun to play again and this program is fun.

Ive tried a lot of Chess apps, as well as full-on computer Chess games, and this is the one I like best. Why? Because it does an incredibly good job of pairing you against the AI. Its the only game Ive tried that actually has a gradual transition from beginner to advanced levels. No more breezing effortlessly through the beginning only to slam into an insurmountably difficult opponent after a few games. As you get better, the AI does too - always a challenge, but (and this is the important bit) always beatable. I couldnt recommend this more. My only "gripe": Id like to be able to set up positions to do chess puzzles. I know its included in the full version, but Im not ready for the advanced features/stronger AI of that one just yet. Given that the lite version isnt a free trial, I think its justified to include it here too.
